    Hello from the beautiful state of GA. I just got my first bike today, a cb750 1976 with 25000 miles. I have been a part of a forum like this be fore and know it is a great source of info so any help will be appreciated.

did you find your bike locally? Ive heard @ an orange 550 on congress st. Wed april 23rd my Dad and I are coming down to Sav in the am and ride out to Tybee. If you want to join us out and back let me know.

  sorry for the late re: just got back from the races at OSP. But sure as long as i have all the kinks work out of the bike. It has been sitting in a shop for about 6 years or so. I got it from my step-dad it was his first bike he bought it new in '77. But i have to replace some fuel lines and clean the fuel tank and carbs(any clue how to do that without getting them out of syn?).

Pull em and clean em right. Bench sync them and they should be fine. I have a sync tool now.We could do it in a parking lot.Im going to bass pro shops tommorrow afternoon. search the faq section here @ carbs. I have an address for a guy that sells the orings for a complete carb rebuild. much cheaper than carb kits. With shipping it was under 20$ for all 4 carbs. His name is Kevin Hunter

  How bad is the tank? Is it original paint?Red? I use simple green on my carbs. take them apart and i soak the whole rack in a drywall mud rectangular tray. I dont take the slides out if they arent stuck then dunk in a bucket of water real good. Clean the small parts and reassemble. the simple green doesnt seem to destroy the rubber parts like carb cleaner will.You can email me and ill help you out as much as possible.
