I remember posting a vid of a CBR engined Metro awhile ago..both cars are bad ass..only problem with them is lack of reverse..but im sure theres solutions to that one..I know when i was considering building a Tri Magnum i was looking at a device called a Diamond Drive..its an Artic Cat sled part but the idea is interesting none the less...basicly it reversed the imput from the engine to have reverse..so in something like that Escort it would have 6 forward and 6 reverse gears using it.

I was reading the 'busa review in the April edition of "RiDE" mag.

There's loads of parts available for these bikes as some dealers used to break brand new bikes and sell the engine to the kit car boys.

Yep, thats a Mk 2 77 or 78 two door escort, i`ve got a 78  2 door in the project line but i`ll stick with the stock 2 liter ohc motor. They really go hard and were actually World Rally Championship winners 3 years running in the late 70`s/ early 80`s

Escort is Focus size, the Fiesta was smaller, a 'Ford Mini', I didn't think they had Fiesta's in the US.

i know there was at least one  ... my stepmom had one when she married dad. 
geez... i'm glad she's gone... talk about an evil stepmother!   

i just don't remember that style but i was only born in 76 so that may have a bit to do w/ it.   
i just remember the ugly taurus type looking one... as mom always says, barfola!

well many of the escorts had the 2 litre overhead cam "pinto" motor in them, and with a few tweaks to the suspension they are great fun to throw around
