Topic: Is this original paint?

I am trying to determine if this bike is original paint. I don't think so. The frame tag says 1/74 but the serial number is 25089## The serial number is in the 1975 range, but a build date of 1/74 seems a long way from 1975? If it is a 1974, the color would be correct. If a 1975, they didn't have orange. Here's a link to pictures. Thanks for any tips. Hal

it is flake apricot red, available on K5 and the only color on K6's.

My 76K6 was made in November of 75.

A couple of thoughts here ...

Is it possible your frame tag reads 11/74 and not 1/74?

Can you check/confirm your engine numbers to the link above?

Can you check/confirm the serial numbers that is stamped into the frame neck opposite side of the frame tag.

Your front turn signals are the '74 and earlier type as the '75 and later were larger.

Looks like your paint is the original '75 Flake Apricot Red.
