Is this a deal??? '66 Honda Dream.
« on: March 29, 2008, 06:38:51 AM »
I must like torturing myself..
I came across this today.
It's not far enough away to put me off getting it.
The kicker about this bike is it has 1,100 miles on the odometer...

I have never priced Honda Dream parts, I would imagine it would need a few before getting it roadworthy.

500.00.... the lady says that everything is still there.
Looks to have dents/scratches, looks to be missing side covers(??).

She has turned it over, and gets compression...
Not too sure what she means there. I'm guessing she tried kickstarting it .

What is a '66 dream with title in non-running condition???

Is it me or does the frame look to be getting rusty?
Is this a problem with older Honda Dreams?

Oh yeah, here is the site with a photo http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=389&ssid=2924784&rurl=nid,218,ad,2924784,lpid,6,cat,144

From what I could tell and what I DO know about them (which is limited), yes the side covers, gas tank emblems and knee pads are missing and could be a little costly. I'm sure it would need a paint job, but looks to be in pretty good shape otherwise cosmetically and complet, except for the mentioned items. What size is it because I'm sure it's not a 305 or a 250. maybe a 125 or 150? There is a site that deals with those, th Super Hawks and the Scramblers of that period and it's called  honda305.com . Lots of good folks and info there. Check it out. ;)

                                    Take care, Bill :) ;)

Ouch, no, that ain't no deal.

I think those pieces that it IS missing, are the high-dollar type items.  Knee pads, tank emblems, etc.

There's one in my area for sale that looks outstanding, and they only want $1200.

That one's a 150cc Dream.

It looks like someone has been working on it and has given up.  For $150 it would be a good deal.  $500 is too much.

thnx all.

After looking around, i think you are right on that being a 150.

A 305, i think i would go for.
A 150..... i don't think so.

Oh well.
