I really dig your 550F Cafe that got BOTM and also your other 550 on the Bench in your 550 Member Registry post.  I specifically like those clip-ons you used and your wider tires on the 550F.  Gives it a much more aggressive look, similar to the Ducati Sport Classic line (wish I could afford).  I'm just wondering if you might be generous enough to provide us with some more information, especially pictures on whatever you can.  We seem to have the same idea and taste for cafe racers.  And thanks, now I just need to figure out what to do with my left over 750...  Great work.

And anybody that has a similar looking 750, I'd love to see that.  There's no 750 Registry that I see and I've only seen a few cafe'd 750's around here, alot of nice 500/550's though.

thanks a lot! my tastes in cafe racers pretty much stem from my love of the 50's-'70's GP bikes. i had a build thread a long time ago here:
http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=6254.0

i'm doing a total revamp of the bike with the installation of the 718cc engine i'm building, if not just building a whole new bike around it. been working on some rearsets...design stolen from a '60's GP bike (keeping that one secret until they're done). lots of other goodies too. i'll update them all when finished.

the race bike: there is lots i still don't know about it, but there was a thread here:
http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=28620.0 it was built by les barker in the late 70's and raced by a local here in portland.

the seatpan i fabricated myself and will eventually be selling them and other hand-form alloy parts. the clip-ons came from another bike, but i see the same ones for sale on ebay sometimes for around $100. let me know if you want more info than is in those threads.
