Scrambler Fork Seals

Howdy,

I am trying to change the fork seals on my '69 Scrambler. I have one of them off the bike and the circlip out. How do I separate the lowers from the inside tube to get at that seal? Also, the other fork is stuck still in on the bike. I have some penetrating oil around the edges to soak overnight. Any suggestions for getting that "leg" out. And one last thing: The leg I have out has some rust on the inner tube. What's the best way to get it off? Thanks

I think that if you have an allen bolt on the bottom of the bottle you have to get it off. That's what I had to do with my cb125s. The bolt is very tight, so you will have to support the bottle on a vise and use an allen wrench with "T" handle, not the normal "L" handle.
