Cycle Exchange sells a drum-to-disc conversion.  Not sure but I don't see why it wouldn't work on a 750A.

The 77 and 78 750F models (F2s&F3s) come stock with comstar wheels, dual discs up front and a disc rear.  I am not sure why you are focused on the rear wheel as the vast majority of your braking power should be up front.  Regardless, if you want to install comstar wheels on your auto and to significantly upgrade your brakes, your best bet would be to get a f2/f3 front end complete with forks, calipers, rotors, wheel and master cylinder.  The forks would slide into your stock triple trees.  On the back for a disc brake, you would need the F2/F3 swingarm, master cylinder, rear wheel, rotor, and proabably the brake pedal.  You could also go for a comstar drum brake wheel on the back by using a 78 autos rear wheel. . . .By the way, your spoke wheels (assuming they are stock) are pretty nice pieces as they have lightweight  aluminum DID rims.  You could probably sell them to help offset the costs of the F2/F3 parts.  . . .IMHO Comstars significantly detract from classic good looks of our bikes and swapping to them is a move in the wrong direction.  They are also not all of a tubeless design (I am pretty sure the F2/F3 wheels are not tubeless).

The cyclex setup sure looks cool but it is pretty expensive particularly when you add the cost of the master cylinder and fabricating involved.  Also its got to be heavier than hell.

Yup, I agree, but it's the closest thing to a "bolt on conversion" that I know of.  Can't be much worse, price-wise and fabrication-wise, than replacing the swingarm, m/c, wheel, and brake pedal.

BUT I also agree that improving the front brakes would be a much better investment.  Even with the stock drum brakes it's pretty easy to lock up the rear wheel on a 750.

The 75 and 76 fs came with spoked wheels.  The front used a single K bike style front rotor and caliper basically the same as your spoked auto front brakes.  There is no advantage to using this front end on your auto.  The rear is a disc brake setup and could be adapted to use on your auto if you want a spoked rear wheel with a disc brake.   As I mentioned, the 77 and 78Fs use comstar wheels with dual discs up front and disc rear.  You might find the parts you want here in the classified section on Ebay.
