I really like a lot of that bike, 'specially the pipes..

But that oil cooler ruins its look, it is FUGLY..
Methinks it could have been 2 rows of that at 1/2 length..?

I'm still wrapping my mind on how the steering system works. That is some cool stuff.

i've never seen the benefit of a swing arm in front.....   is it just for "wow" factor ..   i mean it looks cool ,  just seems like "over-engineering" to me

I thought the biggest benefit was absolutely no dive under braking.

Telescopic forks are pretty crap from any engineering standpoint. they allow major variation in wheelbase, rake, trail and center of gravity, plus you have a bunch of sliding components that are going to move around unless heavily braced.
If they were fantastically good, someone would use them for automobiles
Its just surprising how well people can adapt to something so poor, even girder forks are more rigid and adjustable (think Britten 1000)
Hub center steering probably has far less precision machining involved, you have same amount of bearings for wheel/steering head and two extra for link to bars, you can engineer any amount of dive/rise/neutral into system. probably easier to think of it as 'half a car'

I was thinking of a car. But I seem to be able to carry the concept over from the car to a SSSA, than a fork.  Is there a slot and pin to allows the steering of the front wheel?

there's this design from Motoczysz too. they just use a mono shock between the sliders. i heard he sold this design to Honda, anyways they're trying to make it to Moto GP with this bike. i really hope they get there soon. i'd love to see how well it does.

It was my understanding that Motoczysz switched from trying to make engined bikes to electric design...

Either way it was a helluva step forward for an american manufacturer.

Ural or Dnepr
It has the brake drum on the sidecar. all 3 wheels are interchangeable on those bikes.
everything I say is pure speculation and
I have no idea what I'm talking about  ._.

Yea it had the drum brake on the side car along with a drive shaft conected to the side car.  I believe it said ural on the tank but can't remeber.  If I wasn't going somewhere I would have stoped and talked to the guy.

Sorry to back track but if you shift your weight forward by breaking their will be more weight on the front suspension and the bike will dive no matter what suspension type you have... that's why you never slam the breaks on when you cross paths with a cop, in a car, or bike they will be able to see the front end dive and will know you have been speeding.
That's not quite true, if you've ever ridden a bike with a "leading link" type suspension, notably the early Honda 50s etc., many model BMWs, etc. even from antiquity. Essentially a swingarm with the fork pointing forwards.

On them the front end will actually rise as you brake, regardless of shift weight to the front. It has to do with the geometry of the affair, its not magic or imagination.

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/6260869.html   A technical description of the geometry.

In the more modern tuned leading link suspensions, the bike can be made to remain level, no matter how hard you brake or how much weight you shift forward.
