Wow, TG, do you mean that Guzzi parts are plentiful in Italy? Now, that is really a surprise!

Granted, early Moto Guzzis are very cool, as is the later Daytona 1100. I saw some very fast M-G's at SPA, and the purple Guzzi race bike in the recent pics of this thread is one of the most beautiful bikes I've ever seen. And yes, I'd love to own/ride a Magni Australia. But, affordable M-G bikes and parts are in short (read: expensive) supply here in "The Land of the Free and The Home of the Brave."

BTW, if you've got a couple extra M-G levered rear master cylinders available cheap, I could use a couple. Grazie!

No ricky, i meant also outside of italy.... overall, a 850 le-mans will be half the prize of a 750 SFC, Bevel 900 Duc or R90S in germany, UK or USA too, dont you agree?

You'd be surprised, but saw Guzzi stuff in the US that costs less than here....

I agree that guzzi parts will never be as pletniful as a SOHC's but they are still more affordable than BMW's, Duc's or Laverda's.

In any case, let me know which rear master you need. I recall there where two sizes. I fitted a V50 rear (the small one ) onto my LMIII after de-linking the brakes.

I often go to swap meets so couold look for one or two

Without mods likely not, but I'm keeping my eyes open for a set of 5 spokers from an 82-83 GPZ550, they're just right for stock tire sizes on 750's with 18" rears, I think they'll look trick on just about anything. I understand that 84 GPZ's ditched the leading axle forks and these wheels will fit those forks, sounds like an easy swap.
I've noticed many aluminum swingarms from the GPZ's (305, 550, and the early ninja 600) are going very cheap too, maybe swapping over a K bike to this disk brake setup won't be too tough.

GPZ750's should work also. And the 1100's aren't that much different.

My 85 750turbo had the exact same wheel. Lots of guys arent too keen on the weight, especially on a turbo application. Might be able to find a set cheap.

so, is i to understand the kawa (etc...) wheels are narrower than sohc and require some spacer to make up the diff? can't be that simple, right?

my plan still is aluminum rims and ss spokes. right after i sell my other kidney. but i still like the 'mag' look too.

To be honest Bill I have never measured the hub differences. So actually being narrower might not be the case.

Front wheels obviously have to be centered between the caliper(s).

Rear have to be lined up with the chain, belt, etc. It is more often than not the rear which needs most spacer changing. It seems almost every make and model has a different spacing regardless of brand. You'd think it'd be easier to use the same "transmission housing" but I guess not.

I have adapted a 5 spoke wheel from gpz 305 with laser cut discs with larger OD

There is several kinds of Kawi mags..some 4 bolt, some with big hole in the disc, like around6inches, think they are off GPZ.

Too bad you are not here, got a few Kawi mags at 75.00 for front, 1 rear with disc & caliper, and a GPZ front end antidive with 5 braided lines(130.00)

I have built lots of wheel spacers over the tears,usually have to make spacers to do a swap..

I wanted to go but couldn't make it so now that wasn't me. I'll look for the mag thread. I'm thinking new carbon fiber or something super light. Does anybody make 18's with the newer super light materials?

I can't believe that I didn't notice that. I replied to one of your posts in that thread almost a month ago, how'd I miss those wheels? I must have been distracted by your tank, not many like that around here. How's your build coming along Joksa?

Thanks Havoc for the tip on the 85 750 turbo having the same wheels, I'll have to look around.
