Zap, I ran without guages for a while.. in the spirit of a true hotrod streetracer.. got me in trouble one day racing a Duc, could not hear my revs and overrevved a bit.

 After riding a 750 a lot, you get a feel for 30mph in 3rd, and 55 ish in 5th.. if you get in a 45 or 50 zone..use 4th..
If asked to do 30 mph without clocks, I can probably get within + or - 4 mph easily.... not that hard.. The other thing you do is watch the rest of the traffic.

I rode that beast to Bonneville and back like that.. in 07

wonder what that thing is coming off the front axle?

if it was some kind of front wheelie bar it would be way more reinforced then it is

...my vote is on - camera mount

it's a flag pole. I've seen those bikes before with flags.
I guess they like to flap flags over there. or maybe it's a gang thing.

These bikes really intrigue me.  I'm not sold on the look but I really like how ridiculous they are.  VERY cartoony.

Okay some of their scooters can look pretty cool the way they trick them out, but I just don't see this ever being cool.

If i had to guess Id say it was their way of incorporating a car's bumper parking pole onto a motorcycle.  "Why?" you might ask?  To that I must answer with a picture:
