On that red chop engine pic in shenanigans post, those coils look like they would get awfully toasty after a while. Then again that may be a trailer queen. Also I can't make sense of what the 2 tubes going between and outside the stacks are. They look like fuel lines with inline filters? ???  That bike is far to shiny for me to make out what anything is.

I was always curious as to how the weight is distributed over the single-sided swing arm? Is there a special bearing that is used? Or do they just beef the hell out of the axle/shaft.

Bouncer, I have run the coils in the starter cavity, with no ill effects. This allows you to run your nifty wires (I had RED Thundervolts) through the holes near the center of the cylinders, then up to the plugs... very clean looking..

The blue with light blue stretched front 750 is a Ness hardhead on a Sportster rear 1/2, at least the shock mounts on the rear are.

The dark  colored 750 with the Iowa plates is probaly an SBF frame as is the fork.. if not SBF frame then it is a Ness. SBF is Smith Bros & Fetrow, Donnie Smiths shop way back...

I remember most of them 750,s still got the mags too..

That honestly shocks the hell out of me. I thought being that close to the heat from the motor would take a toll on those pretty quickly. Hmmm..... Interesting I may have to do some changing of the plans for the location of my coils now ha ha ha

In High school I knew a guy that had a Graperoo Trident like that.. brand new..

In the last year or twoo when I saw him I asked if he still had it;

Me.. still got the Trident?

A.R... yupp..

Me..is it still bone stock except for the mufflers and bars?

A.R... yupp..

Me... still got them stock parts?

A.R... yuppp..

me .. are you ever going to sell it?

A.R.... nope...

LOL, he also has a really freakishly fast MGB GT with a V 8 that has run incredible times at the Knox Mt Hillclimb..

Had a shot at a MGB GT, no v8 but regret not buying. Had a friend who raced a Spitfire. Nice clean car.

I remember in the 80's someone having an MG with a Ford v8. A real sleeper in a town of muscle cars. Use to spank a few too with that lil' car.

Guys used to weld in whole frame replacements just to fit a 350...

Somewhere is a fab job of a DOHC 5.4L Ford in a Midget. I'll have to look for that one.

Car looks kinda silly but it puts the old cobra's to shame.

Oh well.  ;D

Hey, they got wire wheels at least..

In the next week I am visiting a local bike builder, see what is new. [robably no pics, but pretty sure I will see a Ducati 1098 that will be getting raked, stretched, & blown. :o... should be interesting..

Might catch some flak over this but for the more adventurous out there here's something to chew on.
