I wonder if the front end was based of the stock Vincent stuff?  For those who haven't seen a Vincent up close, the front end is a joy.  They weren't the cheapest bikes back then for a reason.  They didn't skimp on materials.  Nice looking aluminum bits and deep chrome, it seems there's an adjustment for everything suspension-wise.  On the Black Shadow at least.

Not the Barn Build, but the other one looks like the newest Confederate model may have taken have taken some inspiration from it.

i dunno. unless it's a different version of it there are differences between the barn job and my post. the front end and frame/fuel tank don't match.

on the other hand how many nuts would chop up a vincent to drag?

Capable of 125mph (on 55hp?) with no brakes.

A good read:
http://www.vincelewis.net/vincent.html

It was a Vincent upon which Rollie Free was photographed, laying straight out in his swim trunks setting a new LSR.

There is a new Vincent being made with a Honda motor.

Vincent-worlds fastest 'standard' production motorcycle from 1955~1977 (CBX1000 took title)
rear sprocket size tells you what rpm it's turning at @100mph

Vincent in the late 30s had a sort of mono-shock (duo-shock) , but 2 shock rear  suspension.. and could do at least 120+ mph.

Rollie Free helped put it (and riding near nekkid ;D) on the map in the 50s.. running 149 or 150 on the Great White Dyno..

It was a bike many riders would lust after, and wish they could own for a very long time... trumped only by owning a Brough Superior..

Pretty sought after, and pricey ride.. these days..

Maybe someone will post a pic of Rollie Free on his epic ride...

I like them....just can't understand what makes people willing to spend exorbitant money for them.

Then again, I've always had a hard time understanding the british bike phenomenon, Lucas electronics, 6V power, leaks and rattles.....as soon as the CB750 came along, they disappeared.

As far as power, your CB750 should be able to smoke one.

What year 750 are you talking??
A Vincent can still haul pretty good.. which is why they are not losing popularity...

They make a sandcast 750 look like a cheap reasonably priced bike.. :)

Rollie Free was a racer during the 1920s and '30s, but is best known for setting the American motorcycle one-mile speed record in 1948, when he rode a British-made Vincent HRD Black Shadow to a speed of 150.313 mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. To make that record run, Free stripped down to tight-fitting swimming shorts and laid flat on the Vincent to cut down on every last bit of wind resistance. A photo of the swinsuit-clad Free racing across the salt flats at 150 mph became one of the most famous photos in the history of the sport.

Mr.Free and Burt Monroe are all time heros to me, badasses like that dont exist anymore.

This setup, would provide more HP but would it produce a higher speeds at top end? I am thinking not.. So
the dual motors are just for show correct?

That's the Double Trouble, it's a recent build by Flyrite Choppers and from what I heard and read it actually runs super nice. They just did a spread on it in The Horse BC
