Holy crap....that is really, really nice. Love the use of the stock tank.

Anybody know what kind of fairing that is??

This is as close to that seat as I have seen on here..

You can PM the architect he can probably set you with some thing.

Looks terrible,like a ironing board.
A seat needs some style.

Check out the architect's build thread, then you can talk to me about style.  Guy's got it going on.

What a telling pic - thanks for this one!  This is one of my favorite bikes, and seeing the rear-mounted oil tank without the cowl is a treat.

Cheers!

You got anything good to say today Lucky?  Not razzing you or anything, but both of those bikes are very well respected machines on this forum.  This is the Inspiration Gallery, not the Pick Out What You Don't Like Gallery.  Again, not trying to be the forum police or anything, but if you don't like it, don't run it.

Hey... I may have figured this #$%* out?

At least for some images that are allready on the net.   = /

Anyone know where this seat may have come from? Looks like it would work really well for a big a** fella like myself.

Well, that looks like a K7 or K8 to start.  I didn't look, is that what you have?  I know that the English dude in SoCal sells a seat for the K7/8 that looks a lot like this one.  May work for a large fella like yourself.  If you have another year/model, there are quite a few different fabricators on the forum that I'm sure would be willing to help.

I have a K1 500 & 550. The 500 will probably be the base with parts and pieces from the 550.

Seriously I've seen just a handful of bikes that look good with whitewalls.  That WrenchMonkees bike is one of them.  I really don't know why.  I think the whitewalls just kind of accentuate the cartoonishness of that bike.  Those that say they just simply like whitewalls on a bike...they just say that because they're still being cool and punk and stuff.

I found these inspiring not because they're show stoppers or lightning fast or engineering masterpieces but because they're built with virtually no money and no tools in the dirt and they run like a charm.
The guys that showed me these units, in Uluwatu, were amazingly proud that an Aussie would bother to stop and congratulate them on their workmanship.

I was 16 when the vmax first came out dad and I were at a motorcycle convention and they had Jay Gleason (think thats his name) do a burn out. That image has stuck with me for 25 years. Just something about how it looks just makes my soul stir.

All I know is the VMax has a boatload of power, and is now very large and super heavy.   I think they kinda overthought the thing.  The exhaust must've taken them 6 months.

Since we are posting Harley's....  not mine and feel it looks cool but not the best platform for a "cafe".  It started life as a 2004 Harley Davidson Dyna.

I really like those two Harley's except for the tanks. I guess because the way the backbone is on the frame and where the engine sits in the frame. The tank is just too high to make it look right. Maybe a custom tank that is a little shorter and longer. Still kinda cool.
