Never seen a V-twin with curve like that before, impressive as Phoenix is around 6,00ft
Should make a fair bit more at sea level
Not very practical power curve for any sort of street bike though, really needs to be turning 5k before it runs right?

Pump gas, street ridden on weekends when the rider doesn't broil in the Phoenix heat, Power on a 5,000.

One step closer.

Just waiting on my bore gauge and Mitutoyo digital calipers to measure for crank bearings, then I can finally start making progress on the engine.

Sorry, misunderstood your question. No, if you look at the chart, you'll see that it produces roughly 80 lb/ft @ 3,500. I'd say that's a nice mid-range starting point. It's likely not as 'peaky' as you'd expect it to be. One of the exercises has been to increase the area under the curve,

I have never hear of an MJP dyno. It would be interesting to compare that figure to what is achieved on a Dynojet 200 or 250 (the industry standard)

Whoa thanks for the plug Frankenstuff!

The brace clears everything. The shop did a local SOHC4 member, boogiedude's, first, as the test mule. No clearance issues whatsoever and he's been running it for over a month.

Apologies, on a personal level, for assholish behavior, and to the group, for sullying an otherwise excellent thread.

This particular MJP dyno reads exately the same as a Dynojet 200/250 models using SAE correction factor with smoothing set on 3. The owner of this MJP dyno ran a bike on his MJP and then went down the street and ran the bike on several Dynojets at MMI and the MJP read out right where the Dynojets were. FWIW

During a trip to Wrenchmonkeys in Copenhagen Denmark, some online friends found this CX500 - believe its called GL500 !?! in the US ?

I think it's really sweet except the tires and maybe (IMO) the low bars.

Please ! Take a look and give me feedback in my project thread, its much needed :)

I think those might be CX500C models, the Custom version that was modified rather than the CX500 or CX500 Deluxe models.
The tank on the Custom is more teardrop shaped than the Deluxe which is what a lot of cafe racers like with the mild knee dents from factory.

Here's some photos of CX500 (Std and Deluxe), Some CX500 Deluxe or Std cafe bikes, CX650Turbos, and CX500 Custom
