I like the way the NASA bike uses a section of the Speed Triple frame melded to the CB frame to avoid messing with custom bearings, spacers, and bs.

I dig that bike.  I've always wondered about a muffler upturned like that though...what happens when it rains?

If the bike is running, nothing. The exhaust force will keep the water out and the heat will evaporate any that falls in.

As with most race bikes with pipes like that, after use they usually put a plug in the pipe and 4 in the carbs to keep foreign material out... ;)

Interesting approach for the front fender bracket / brace on the bike with USD forks. Well executed! The cut-down fender is probably light enough to get away with two mounting points; I think you'd want more with a longer / heavier fender.

Why also do I think of taking a knife and slicing those cross stitches in one semi-swift-fluid motion? Not easy to do because my hands would probably be trembling like a puppy trying to pass a peach pit.

Saw this guy at my local Starbucks.  I admired his bike while he admired mine.  Not my personal taste but a lot of nice little touches and he said he did all of the work himself.

I like Triumph's, and it's handsome, but I don't get the look/idea of the rear tire crawling up your back. I can just imagine so many things getting caught in there and ripping your head off.

A friend of mine chopped down a Yamaha 650 twin like that Triumph. Flat slick seat and exposed rear tire. He brought it by so I could sync and tune the carbs. I got it running smooth and took it for a spin. Gunned it and my butt slid off the seat far enough that the tire was chewing on my jeans. Not the best design in my opinion.

There are a few things on this week's RacerTV bike that I don't care for (not a huge fan of the Coker tires, even though I admit they make a unique look; but I especially don't like how the pipes on both sides are cut to dump exhaust on both feet).  However, I really do like the lines of the bike and I LOVE the way they did the shock absorber.  I don't know how it compares functionally, but the shock being underneath the bike is really unique looking and fascinating to me.
