Had a nice visit with a local bikebuilder the other day, went with 1080 and a  guy from work that rides a Busa.

Got to see the latest project at its start, a 1098 Duc that will get raked and stretched.. serious  built bike that one. It will be supercharged.

Also saw a cool shovel, tipped forward in the frame so rear jug is pretty well straight up. Then the frame was slammed behind the neck like on an early teens Douglas (top of neck higher than backbone). Motor was mated to the tranny like a Dyna, leaving an open space above the tranny, I thik a blower is going in there.

An added treat was when he fired up his 1000cc blown Harley single, man does that thing bark :o. It was the yellow bike # 38 or 39 that he ran at Bonnevile, it was featured in Cycle World, a while back.

Really cool stuf, but sorry no pics..

754, is that Goldammer?

Yes it is. There are plenty of pics out there of the #39 bike.

On the new stuff though, generally it is sometimes  better to keep it out of sight for a while, it may get copied extensively later on  anyway, by others..

It is really neat though to get an explanation of the how and the why of building something.. on the 39 bike we actually saw the original napkin drawing he did as he thought it up while on a flight somewhere.. and another drawing on the wall of it in yellow , which he did to decide if that was the color to use.

I saw the bike run both times at Bonnevile, but it is pretty loud indoors..lol..

Sure had some big-assed throphies there..LOL..

I'm Inspired and Impressed  :o

But I'm just a newbie  ;D ;D

this is just about as close to my dream bike as i've seen! i'm just going nuts over this. Thanks for the heads up mikeb!

WOW.  I am glad you guys like it. I honestly never expected to make the inpiration thread.  Greenjeans did most of the paint, built the seats and put a lot of work into them.  He just left the assembly to me (mostly).  I appreciate the kind words.

HD EVO, one cylinder removed to make room for the supercharger, 3" belt drive HD trans.and a crap load of custom parts! Lets see that would make it a supercharged 675cc thumper at the least.

Also the head is from the rear (removed) cylinder.

There stuff is sick, very big old school hot rod influence, and ethic. Guys were really cool and stoked to have someone trip on some of the details on their bikes (and there are a LOT of cool details).

If I was in their neighborhood I would be there in a heartbeat with a case of beer.
