Now you've done it Joksa, I really don't need this kind of mental kindling.  >:( ::)

I wonder how hard it would be to hang a SOHC from that rafter.

Ok, but I need to make a Home Depot run First...

Let's see... I'll need some Duck tape, Gorilla glue, A box of #12 Machine Screws, some stir sticks... A whistle... A box of Matches, bailing wire, a slightly used weed wacker, and a rubber chicken!
But I need Tacos!  I need them or I will explode!

Sorry to hear about your bro MR B.
The ducktail on that one was made from a cb360T tank, very cool.

I've only played around on mine (I really do own a CX500, see the thread http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=48079.msg505686#msg505686 ) and it seemed pretty straight forward.  It's water cooled, so that adds a little to the complexity, but not much.  I purchased it from my neighbor who said it was a very smooth engine and nice to ride.

While looking around for one of these bikes for sale last night I found this http://www.elsham.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/cx500/history/
If the guy is indeed as informed as it seems like he might be it sounds like parts are hard to find.

I found prices for them to be $500-1500.

don't know much about 'built ta go's' but i've seen some nice ones on this forum.

i'm told in spite of some particulars those cx/silverwings are stone reliable. personally, i think they look darn cool over all. that red cafe is quite cool

this one is from a french site i think.

speaking of cx's... and flat/dirt trackers  ::)...  this was honda's early factory effort with a cx mill turned side ways.

Yeah, I wonder how much of a PITA it would be to do.

OK, with bobber, tracker, v twin, Italian, ricocheting inside my noggin this seemed relevant.

I don't want to be accused of abandoning all loyalties.

Here's a cool work in progress on a French site, Fat Club.

edit: I believe the Fat Club is also the original source for the CX I posted and the SV earlier. Google Fat Club France.
