It was built in a wind tunnel. Looks had nothing to do with it.

Ugliest POS I have ever seen come from Ferrari but I bet it has a drag coefficient in the negatives.  :D :D

i like that model 'a' and have a soft spot for willys. but i prefer gasser style willys. i like trad 50's/60's style rods. i've had my fill of 'rat'. in the olden days from where i hail they were called either beaters or s#it boxes. i think sometimes people try too hard to look old skool or working class, or god knows what.

i do like the no b.s. of what rat rods were when people first coined the now cliche phrase.

but now it's anything painted flat black and poorly thrown together for many.  :-[

sorry, don't mean to be a jerk.

has this one been posted before? this to me says 'hot rod.'

minus the rust i think this might qualify for the no b.s. image. anyone can id that tail lemme know please. personally, if i were to primer this thing i'd do it with the red oxide.

note mono shock.

Hi Ecosse, i really like what this guy is trying to do with that bike. The only problem i can see with the rear monoshock is it would have to have a  very long wheelbase, kinda defeats the purpose of the mono rear, long wheel base= poor cornering. That fibreglass rear is a Kawasaki replica one off an old KR GP bike i think, i searched that out a couple of months ago, i have that pic in my "750" folder..

I found the build thread on that black and silver bike one time through google, and I can't find it now.
I think he's a member here.

good point about the mono. but another advantage might be a bit less unsprung weight and a bit less weight(?) than with twin shockers. just a thought: unless that s.a. for a mono shock is really stiff wouldn't it be more susceptible to flex than twin shocks?

true that mec. the similarities are there. thanks both for the tip. if i do a replica racer/cafe that tail's right up there. along with the black one on our fellow sohc members bike posted earlier... what's that off of?! if ya can find the build thread industrial' that would be awesome!

just found this

then there's these attractive italian rears.

I like how he did the mono shock. bike looks clean.   but the wheels do make it look funny. I would have stayed with some spoked wheels.
