Is that the reflection of your tank in the exhaust?

I saw your bike somewhere else on the forum. Im not a fan of the seat or the fender but that tank looks perfect on that bike and the turbo is off the charts cool.

Here's a question:  I saw this bike posted in another thread, and apparently it came from here.  I really like it... a lot.  Anyone have details?  It looks mostly stock - can I really make my 76F look like this?

Thanks guy's !       The tail light is from a cl350, the tank is from a cl450, the rims are nos shelby dowd, I also have
an extra set on the garage wall.

It's a Panther http://www.ozebook.com/120.htm custom built by the Cretingham Crank Company in Suffolk, England. Their bikes have a distinctive style - combination of old Brit engines, often with more modern running gear. If you follow the link to the XLF thread, there are more pics of the Panther, plus a BSA B31 by the same people.

While I absolutely love it.... I think it is so far removed from a street tracker (especially with the SSSA) that it should have it's own category....

I agree that it's pretty far outside the street tracker label.

I think the rear is between the rear sprocket and hub.  Yeah real flat trackers only have a rear with no front.

I never thought I would ever see a Panther done like that, its an early one as well (pre1963)
 got to send that to my brother
 any idea if its a model 100 or 120?

 looks like its cut from 6" x 1" alloy plate, probably far stronger than it needs to be, I think 4" x 3/4" would be fine.
( got a design for that somewhere, and a friend with a CNC mill  )

If you could provide the design I would be forever grateful. I was thinking I would make it myself to keep costs down though. I'm trying to do the cheapest chopper build I can.

Here's an old Durfee Flamecut Girder I'll be mounting onto a vintage Pauchco rigid soon. It's very similar in style, but flamecut steel and about 1/2" thick. Weighs a ton, though!    RR

Very cool, I'm not going to do any rake, I'm lowering the bike a little so the forks will be shorter and I'm using Aluminum so hopefully weight won't be an issue. Actually I'm hoping they'll be lighter than the stock telescopic forks.

Do you guys think 1" plate Aluminum will be rigid enough to not bend? I'm going to be adding a bridge style cross brace to incorporate looks and strength.

Boy that thing has to be sick loud with those shorty pipes! Cool as all heck but still.
