Well, Zapai, those cut-offs aren't going to get used. But if you really want to check out some sick sounding pipes, check these out....

I can't repost all the pics again, but there should be something to suit most tastes in this XLF thread:

I never thought I would ever see a Panther done like that, its an early one as well (pre1963)
got to send that to my brother
any idea if its a model 100 or 120?
PJ

Not sure, but I'd guess a model 120.

Very cool, I'm not going to do any rake, I'm lowering the bike a little so the forks will be shorter and I'm using Aluminum so hopefully weight won't be an issue. Actually I'm hoping they'll be lighter than the stock telescopic forks.

Do you guys think 1" plate Aluminum will be rigid enough to not bend? I'm going to be adding a bridge style cross brace to incorporate looks and strength.

These were much thinner - approximately 3-4mm on the side plates. The front and rear edges were rounded on the outside and looked like they'd been dremelled slightly hollow on the inside to further lighten them.

I doubt that would be strong enough for a street bike - I suspect it's on the limit for this sprint bike to minimise weight.

I'm in love!! I especially enjoy seeing the dual head light setup.. 8) 8)

How in the WORLD can I get my hands on one of thes???!!!!! I wonder how much they go for.

.....And the research begins. ;D

so pj, what's a panther?

My father bought one brand new in 1963 and left it to my brother in his will.(2005)
It has just over 19,000 miles on it and as far as I know is still in storage. (in Britain)
They were mainly used to drag sidecars around.
Remember having great fun as a kid, going all over the place.
I was 14 when he first let meride it, double adult Busmar sidecar on it.
Old man said I could ride it any time, if I could start it (probably why my knee is so bad, you wouldn't believe the kickback from 6:1 compression motor, make sure bars are turned or you hit them  :o)
Originally manufactured by Phelon and Moore
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phelon_&_Moore

JAG, get a stock late model VFR, set of plastics from early model and paint it, that's what your looking at.
The RC30 is a works racer and personally, I think the VFR is a POS. I've had bikes with failed cam drives both chain AND gear. I just hate them ( but I think most here know that)

Ceriani roadrace forks and triples. Value about $700 - $1200 depending on the condition and buyer's pockets.  RR

Damn 1200 way to deep for my pocket. But they do look good on the bikes. Yea I showed a buddy the pic and he road my bike and wants to sell his harley and start building a sohc4 with me.  I got the garage space so hopefully he can get one soon to ride. And build.  He loves the old cafe look.  Plus he looks goofy riding a harley in my opinion.
