You may not like the 1 1/4 price..
I wood try a thinner piece for first try for a few reasons.
I would probably use CrMo for shafts and Bushings, for the pivots.. for several reasons..
First, original girders used bushings.
Second, you can buy an affordable, drill & reamer to make the bushings work.. bearings may require machine shop time.
Key to doing this.. MAKE SURE both pcs are Dowelled together while drilling axle, and pivot holes.. the rest is just........
"removing all the metal that does not look like the piece"
The girder is in there, just got to carve away the outer covering..
