It's a side car racer boys...

Figure an 800-1000cc motor wrapped in a pitbike chassis and wheels.

Fast and scary as all hell without the car.  ;D

That is infact NOT photoshopped.

I have seen the bike in person at last years Chicago Cycle World International Motorcycle Show.

Ice racer for sure.... but a trailer queen as well.

Sorry, really don't like that 'ice racer'.

"What can get us some attention, a type of bike that's not been used as a theme before? Board Racers are so passe now."
"Ice racer..HAHahahaha"
"Hmmmmm! Make a regular low-rider...put some spikes in the tires.."
"Hey, I was kidding, ice racers are light, single cylinder, spindly, they've got nothing to do with chopper culture..it'd be ridiculous"
"Now listen son, if those Orange County boys can do a Fire Truck themed chopper we can do an Ice Racer..pass me my credit card"

I agree. I'll get started, you start selling tickets. The only thing I like about that bike are the tires.

I think it's on there cause the chain would interfere with the frame without it.

i'd love to see a build blog or video on that bike...  who cares how useless it is, it's great craftsmanship!  i bet it'd be a blast to ride with reg. tires on there!!

IC, If you look at the original post of the picture, there is a chain on the right side of the bike as well.... I think its got a jackshaft only because he wanted to run two chains (one on each side of the wheel). That bike could have easily been made to use the a single chain off of the primary sprocket.

Edit: It looks as if the rear brake is also on the other end (right side) of the jack shaft.

Yep you are correct sir.

Most guys depending on how many CI's the v-twin is.... like 145 and up.... run dual chains because of the massive amount of torque that is available. They don't make chains big enough for the street.

Didn't the Arlen's (pa and son) make a dual belt bike for a build off?

Midnight, you cant run that big a rear sprocket with electric start, the chain would saw thru the starter housing.

As far as I know that bike was built for a big show, maybe the AMD show, by a European builder. The pic shown, looks like near Sturgis..

The only way you could ride it would be down a drag strip. Not practical for turning.  It does look nasty though !   ;D

Here's some real ice racing....... :o
