The article I read about the Benelli, was that the Honda motor wasn't under any patent/copyright....so benelli "shamefully" just "carbon copied" the honda motor, and added 2 cylinders.  Granted, they changed the mounting of the alternator on the 750 version if memory serves correct.  a Benelli 750 is a 500 with 2 extra cylinders, the 900 is a 550 with 2 extra cylinders.

Using modern technology, you could build more power with your four, but the sounds, look, etc. make the benelli a cool way to go.  A straight six is just sexy as hell in a racer, huh? ;D

That said, I'll just stay with the four. :-\

Any ideas where they get those cloth covered plug wires?  Also, where's a good place to get spark plug resistor boots?

the chic video is a half fast bike, and that vid was shot at Mods vs. Rockers

i've always loved the WM's 750 (and there other bikes too) .. and they have a good chance of getting that 30 grand ......in Japan

but this !! this is like a breath of fresh air man ... i love it , everything about it ,the pipes, the crazy twisty oil tank.. right down to his building theories.  i'm gonna be watching these guys ... very cool

Agreed.....in Japan.

Herein the states....tough sell.  Those of us that are into this stuff, I think would rather look it over, get ideas, and build our own.

Of course, I've been known to have been wrong before from time to time. ;D

for cloth covered wires and the cloth to cover modern wires scope out auto restoration spots like kantor. maybe so cal speed shop has something. the hot rod set is a good resource in general because it's a big industry thanks to the baby boomers. those old softies sometimes like an old looking car with the advances of current tech.
