I am thinking on the next 750 I do, I want the engine covers to look like hard anodizing, the darkgreen/gray look, sorta like the Wrenchmonkeys bike.. with probably stock siver heads, barrels cases.. just think that would look sorta new and not done to death..

I still think alloy wheels don't look as cafe racer as spokes, JMO the bike above would be even more awesome with some spokers.

Not to be contrarian, but IMHO the alloys look great on this bike. They balance off the mass of the motor and slab-sided tank/seat combo and look very "Euro-Roadracey."

BTW, I really like the seat. I'd like to see more pics of this bike. And I'm especially interested in the front fork treatment. Impressive build. RR

Hey RR -

You don't happen to have a flat track tail handy do you?

I need one.

I really like that last one!

The Lester wheels, which look like they have either been stripped and had the finish "dulled" or have been powercoated flat siler.....VERY nice.

2nd on whose bike that is.....I REALLY like this one! ;D

i wonder if that's not a paint combo but rather the masking?

anyway i love it!! the cafe/ roadracer line gets fuzzy i notice. most of what we see on this forum i'd say is replica-racer. judging by pix the early cafes didn't usually have rear sets or bum-stop seats.

these were hot rods on a budget folks.

(so says the self appointed expert)

more info/ pix please!!!!!!

No luck on this end, HT... We're doing a bunch of seats - the CB500/550 and K7-8 Giuliari-styles have just been released along with the earlier K0-6 versions, and we hope to be able to expand the line further around mid-year.

Nothing planned in the "flat track" style though; most everything we've done or planned is a more vintage Euro-roadrace style. I think "Omar's" sells some flat track stuff, though...  RR

Ecosse is correct, it is just masking tape. I am trying to lay out a paint scheme for the bike.

here is an older picture of the bike in just primer

as for the mags i think i actually bought them from RR (probably why he is so fond of them). Sandblasted and powdercoated Bavarian Silver

Those old Lesters never looked so good! I'm proud of you, Bro!  I've usually flipped every set of Lesters I've gotten, but I picked up a set with a disk rear and I think they're gonna get used soon.   ;)  RR

kmoll,

i'm interested in a build thread too!!  i'm really curious about the work you've done on your frame.  looks like you have some bracing welded up in there along with a super clean tail section.  can you elaborate more to the work you've done on the frame?  also, where'd you get the oil tank?  killer looking bike!  i've never seen Lesters look that good!!!
