IMO, it's stupid, the original Honda engineers didn't do that back in the 60's.
They would warm up at constant rpm, high enough to maintain pressure andget oil circulating plus thrown around for area's that need 'splash' lubrication. I believe it was pretty impossible to hold a 'low' rpm on the 125 though because there was 'no' flywheel effect so warm up was done around 6,000rpm? ( I forget where I heard it, I was only a kid at the time)
