this thread grows faster than I can keep up. I'm just at around pg 100. I keep getting stuck on reading comments instead of just lookin at pics.
here's some that I have taken at school. I take a moto engine class at ccsf.
this is a student or teacher's (hard to tell sometimes) badass hawk gt650, I always liked this bike, it was out before the monster but didn't sell well. so only produced a couple years. Honda, always ahead of the times, made a killer naked before there was a category. with an, at the time, revolutionary frame, single sided swingarm and killer offset rear wheel, etc.
another student had one of these, but modded out. I saw the engine out and apart, it is all incredibly compact, the bike's guts are very dense. this one is beautiful. the guy in the background is a friend from school.
the next one was built by a buddy in class named, believe it or not, Harley. he was rebuilding a cb500t engine, but rode this one to class. it's some type of Kawi, with wild Indian style fenders, lots of welding on the frame and a cool BMW headlight. everything done in gloss black. looks very classic and complete. I dig this one, and he rides it daily.
last is a brand new V7 classic guzzi. a student had just bought this one from the dealer. I like the black and gold version. it's pretty modern inside with fuel injection and meeting euro3 standards for emissions, mileage.
you can see my girlfriends bike in the background. a ninja 250 that's super fast, light and fun. I rode it to school that day. I did the paint job on it.
here's another of the 250, it was beat to #$%* when we first got it, cracks all over and flat black rattle can paint on everything. took some work, but I really like the design of the stripes and how they make the bike look better, faster
. I'm supposed to add some kanji to the lower fairing at some point. after I finish a million other projects...
