What a telling pic - thanks for this one!  This is one of my favorite bikes, and seeing the rear-mounted oil tank without the cowl is a treat.

Shinya has some of the most uncomfortable looking machines out there ,  but man are they inspiring to look at (well, to me anyway)

that man is a true artist. He should set up an online shop and start selling his tanks and seat. (That is sarcasam) there isnt enough bondo on them.  As far has his bike being uncomfortable, he comes from a heavy racing background and still does the salt flats so i think that is why they are built with that position. I was watching biker build off when he was still working for zero engineering and was so impressed with his work.

the non-matching wheels really dont sit right with me .... sticks out like a sore thumb and totally takes away from the rest of the bike

Something about those old bmws just rubs me the right way. If I ever take the effort to cafe a bike, I'm going to try to make it a bmw.
