Here goes, I missed a couple things when I posted that, was was partying with 1080& Turbochop last night.
I didnt notice it was knurled, and that the pivots are ?welded? We have ways of McGyvering around that.
The plates, for the most part, they are laid out (scribed), then drilled sawed and filed.. this is pretty straightforward.
The pegs and pedals, as I mentioned the now noticed knurl will be a problem. The grooves on the pegs could be done with a file while spinning it in a drillpress. You may be able to get some knurl on it using a vise, a couple of files and some shims, but its tricky. If a few members desired, I or another member could whip up some properly knurled econo-pegs.
The pivots, we cant really do the welding ourselves with basic tools, but you could pasten the pedal with a couple pf buttonheads or allen screws.. use round bars for the pivots. The major flaw of the pictired design, is not much pivot area, so It appears they would loosen up fairly fast...
If there is a bit of interest we could start a dedicated thread, and maybe supply a bit of a kit at reasonable cost..
