is there any benifit to upside down forks? it seems to be the new rage.. including on the above mentioned bike
Stylish, but it seems like a bad idea to have the intakes sucking in all that super-hot air.

There is also less unsprung weight so the suspension reacts faster......i think.

Also, by putting the larger diameter piece in the clamps above, a stiffness gain was expected. In practice these benefits were offset by an overall weight gain, (see how the top parts which were the bottom, are so much bigger in the top postion than when they are in the bottom positon.
