We just keep scratching at this scab, don't we?

Obviously, the offense has gone deep.

I think the saying "Chill Out" comes to mind. Its the old story, ïf you can't laugh at yourself then don't laugh at others". This started out as a joke response and it should have been received as such. I think we should have a chuckle about then move on. Life is too short. One good thing to come from this threadis we got to see a picture of a great looking F2.
Cheers

....I think it should start a new forum policy - the GREGIMOTIS policy!

Any question along the lines of "what's it worth" gets a standard $3.50 response and we can all artificially depress the market for bikes and parts while benefitting from this as a group of upstanding restoration pioneers dedicated to preserving history without the need for a fat wallet...unless of course they're sandcast parts in which case we should stick to $2.50  ;D

Now where's the harm in that !?

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

In all seriousness.  No, really.  I mean it.  We have to thank Indy650 for his contribution to this forum.  He may not see it that way, but he has made a few things abundantly clear about forum membership.  It was his very transparent question that sparked the debate.  It may have started as a misunderstood joke, but it clearly hit a nerve.

Thanks to Indy650, we are all the wiser in knowing that there are things, even though well within the forum rules, one should not do.
Such as,
- demand answers, as if somehow entitled to them.  And, much worse, call people names for poking fun at the impertinence
- Surf and read all you want, but if you join in the discussion, know that its a "community" with "character" and not just a resource to use at your whim.
- if you mislead, you will be caught, dragged out, and flamed (a modern stoning?)

So, thank you, Indy650.

Following the minor leg pulling, he even PM'd me to see if the seat really WAS a genuine Ed Roth custom that he could sell for more money....so much for mechanical knowledge... ;D

Think you called this one spot on guys!

Ha that is too funny! Nice one lordmoonpie. Talk about exposed.  ;D ;D

Latest comments on his Ebay sale:

"got it started today i didnt know it needed a battery to run. "   ::) ::)

Amazing....contradicts his previous statement;

" there is no battery the previous owner took it. "   :o  ;)

i bought a new one retard :P.
and when i said i dont know about bikes but i rebuilt the engine its because im very good with engines but i have no idea about motorcycle wiring

Welcome back Indy! We missed you!  :-*

Since you are so bad at motorcycle wiring here is a tip for you....big fat red wire goes to the POSITIVE end of the battery whereas the black wire goes the the N-E-G-A-T-I-V-E end of the battery....you got that? No? Ok once more....the big fat red wire goes to the POSITIVE end of the battery whereas the black wire goes the the N-E-G-A-T-I-V-E end of the battery. You see...not so hard after all  L-)  ::)
