Here's a link to get a free subscription of Cycle World
« on: April 03, 2008, 09:41:32 AM »
The link works & the magazine comes.  I have been enjoying my free Cycle World magazine subscription since before Christmas.  Thought I would pass it on to other folks who might appreciate it.

Here's the link: http://www.mercurymagazines.com/pr1/121/12181

Probably just more junk mail as they most likely add your info to the list of addresses they sell to mail advertisers.  At least with a bike mag subscription most of the junk will be bike related, which in my house at least gets thumbed through before being recycled.

Actually, I am on the list to not be able to receive junk mail (registered with the USPS & "stop the mail" folks) so I don't get junk mail....

I just get the magazine.  If there were catches, I would have told you so.

Back when I had a business I used to get some of the magazines. Good deal actually and very little associated junk mail if you don't look like a good sales prospect  ;-). alternatively you can invent a persona and job and if you do a good enough job pimping it you'll have free trips to the islands to look at real estate and try out yachts.

No kidding, Hope, thanks!  I crown myself king whenever I read my motorcycle magazines, as that's the only place where I read magazines  ;D

Could certainly always use another loyal subject (get it?  subject?  hah!)

Sorry, I never noticed that it said US only, otherwise I would have told you.

FYI - the advertisers in any given magazine pay for the publication of the magazine.  When people pay for subscriptions, that's just extra money for the magazine...  So when you subscribe and pay for a magazine, you are paying for a magazine that is already paid for...  That's why I get all my magazine subscriptions for FREE.

I don't pay for any magazine subscriptions, and I think others should be aware that they can do the same!

Hope this helps someone

We've gotten two issues so far, and haven't yet seen any downside.  Yet.

Signed up for it and choose 3 other 'free' subscriptions. Mainly trade mags for the work I do, and delivered to my work address too.
