Snowing again
« on: April 04, 2008, 05:15:21 AM »
Well, got up at 3am and decided to not go to work as the snow is piling up again. Besides I have to work on my bikes.

ANyone else having this problem? Seems rather late to be getting 1+inches of snow, but we always have at least one storm in April.

Luckily I have less than 2 feet of snow in the yard ???
peace,
michel

Oh man I feel for ya!

We finally started getting warmer out here, last two days have been great!
This winter has been pretty much like the ones I remember as a kid, but shaping up to be a nice spring.

At last I can say "nyah, nyah, nyah"!  ;) ;) Sophie is insured ($330 for six months) and almost ready to go for a weekend of fun and frivolity. It isn't particularly warm yet but we are supposedly passed the white stuff phase of the year.

Hang in there man! It does seem like this winter is holding on like Glen Close in Fatal Attraction. In another month, New England will once again be the great riding secret, if they can smooth out all the pot holes and pavement heaving! ;D

Well, actually there were 2 reasons for taking the day off: 1-snow, 2 -spent the day in federal court jury duty. (I am NOT a real sissy, well, not really, ok ok, maybe a little bit of a sissy...)

guess I should go shovel the new snow from in front of the garage and hopefully in 3-4 weeks most of the white stuff will be gone. ???

Man, I sure don't envy you all who are still getting snow and such. :-\  I do envy those who have nice sunny, warm weather though. ::)  Arkansas just went through another evening of Heavy rains, Severe Thunder Storms and Tornadoes. Sure am looking forward to things settling down for a bit. :)

I am thinking of moving south after the kids are out of school, BUT....I heard I would have to learn a new language.

I speak Yankee English and Canuck French now.

The news said we might get more snow tonight. They also reminded us that the studs need to come off tomorrow, or else.

You're probably correct about "next week." Feeling optomistic though, I moved the snowblower to the back of the garage. ;D

Put 566km under Sophie's wheels over the weekend. I've just confirmed something that I guessed all along: a CB650 makes a superb 'office' to do motorcycle rider instruction from.

And to you guys and gals who are still waiting to ride this year....be patient; you'll savour that first ride all the more.
