petcock only on one side gas comes out?
« on: April 08, 2008, 11:10:34 AM »
Hi I have a 1973 cb 750. The petcock only lets gas come out one brass nipple. Should it come out both? I do have the rack set up for carbs with two inlets for gas lines. I am thinking this petcock is bad. I dunno. Thanks for your responses

The dual outlet petcock feeds both at the same time.  However, gravity favors the first one gas gets to.  To test, plug the one that you see flowing, the other should flow just a freely as the one you plugged.
Fuel level makes a difference in outlet flow rate.

Easy to take apart and clean as well.  Not much to go wrong in there.  Maybe some
old gas or crud.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.
