Hey Seaweb11!
Just trying to get a trailer together for the trailer queens! See you there!
How's the Tracy going? I'm trying to hold back starting on the K0 - it's tough!
Cliff.

Cliff, are you headed over on Sat?
I haven't done any work on the Tracy in a few weeks. I have been working towards renewing my mortgage, designing a garage, and being very sick...... :P

After I pulled the covers off the 3 bikes a few weeks ago and seeing what the salt air has done to them, I cringed at the thought of the new bike being left outside. Seems more important to throw money at a garage 1st. That and I'm a bit  A.D.D.

Hey Seaweb!
I'm not sure about Saturday yet - depends on business and I've gotten real busy. Saturday would be best though.  We can get to the site early on Sunday for good parking.
Has a bug got you?
A nice, warm garage would be about perfect.
Cheers,
Cliff.

hey guys!

thanks derek for the email.   I will be there on Sunday with my 72 cb750. (orange)

I've never been to this event.  Can someone tell me what usually goes on?

Do people go there to buy bikes?   Or is it more about parts?

There is a swap meet in the building, along with a bike show.
You will find bikes for sale outside.

The BEST part is the parking lot!  This is not a Chopper show. You will see tons of old British, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, etc,  Bikes to look at. Somehow this show has kept faithful to antique bikes.

Click any of the links below my post to see what we will be bringing to the Lot.

P.S. If my bikes are there and I'm not, look for a SOHC T-shirt in the bar upstairs ;D

I'll have my white SOHC T-shirt on, the one with the six CBs on the back, if you see me say hello. If I'm in the bar I'll be the guy on the floor but you can still say hello, I just won't hear you.

i'm just working on getting my bike road worthy again.

about a month ago it was having problems maintaining a steady idle.  it would rise... then drop.  the usually symptom of it running better cold.  i went to start it today and now the engine won't catch a fire.  the starter turns over... but nothing after that.

i had put in 125 main jets earlier and the exhaust was white... so i figured i had to raise set the needle lower into the carb to make it idle better.  I haven't gotten around to that... but now it won't start.  all i can think of now... is that my O rings are completely worn down... and it has been leaking oil into the cylinders this entire time.

my question here is:  i want to change my O rings... does anyone know how hard it is?  I'm going to be ordering a complete set of 72 cb750 gaskets on friday and i want to take this on.  I don't consider myself a novice when it comes to taking apart a bike (or maybe i do).  But i think i can do it.  Can anyone help me?   With tips... or lending a hand?

I live in downtown vancouver...

post your issues in the SOHC tech forum. Most won't be reading this sub thread.

Now I'm not sure which bike to take to the show!! Yesterday I purchased two more Cb750s, one a 75 and the other a 76 F. I bought them from Brian the owner of Motorcycle World in Surrey who was a long time Honda dealer but now sells Suzukis. The 75 is in his living room now and was in Trev Deeley's museum for many years. The 76 F is more of a rider and less a show-piece although I ride all my bikes and had Goldie out for a good ride yesterday. He's dropping them off Wednesday so I'll post a couple pictures, not that anyone ask. Hope I don't have too many problems trying to get bikes running that have sat for a decade or more.

Of coarse you’re gonna ride.
It’s not like it’s winter or anything.
