Raul,
The seller is Motorcycles Unlimited in London, all I know about the buyer is he is called Juan! A really rare name in Spain eh?? ;)
The dealer said he got 5k pounds for it, but I doubt it! Also, he said he sold it via Ebay!
It is a very nice bike..
Jim.

The question is; what is original??

Almost as elusive as "What is an American made car?"  ;)

Jim, I was asking because I've seen some K1's being sold in the antique vehicles' magazine ads, for about 6.000 euro (that's about 4.000 quid) and they stay there for months. So I wonder who would take the annoyance and cost involved in bringing a bike from UK, paying duties, registering etc.

Raul,
Doesn't make sense to me either, especially as he said it was sold on Ebay, I did not see it!
As I said it was a nice one, but not rare or concourse.
Jim.

Bob,
That's not elusive; if a car handles badly and is put together badly and lasts 2 years and you have to throw it away; it must be American made!  :D
Before you attack the British car market, there isn't one left!!  :(
Jim.

Jim,

I wouldn't dare consider an attack. Read recently, that of the top 30 cars evaluated for reliability, only 2, "two" were American and lord only knows how much 'foreign' content was in them anyway.  :-[

Bob,
Same here, top cars are all from the Far East somewhere!

In December 2005 I posted here that I had paid over $5000 USD for my K0 and expected it to double in value within the next five years.

In less than two and a half years since that post it has been valued at $7900 USD, if the recent valuation done by my Honda dealer for insurance purposes is correct.

I don't care what it's value is really as it gives me so much enjoyment. I'm just making an observation for the record.

Ah, that makes sense.  I thought you were referring to the Jim who started this thread.

Toycollector, You did not pay too much, but may have bought early.. that how we say it on the oil & gas forum.

But in doing that you probably got a good one... same one perhaps being out of reach today..plus you get to enjoy it longer..
