Had a close call the other weekend.
I was staying at my sisters place to babysit because she went to visit my brother in Vienna.
We went and got my boyfriends new old bike and returned late in the evening. Everything was fine then. My daily rider a Honda VFR750F was sitting in the driveway. I put the brake disk lock on and left it next to my mums car I had burrowed for the 700km drive. The 1978 suzuki GS750 which looks kind of ratty was parked behind it.
After this long drive we were a bit tired and the youngest dog (both of them are sheperds) was bugging us so we finally gave in and took them for a walk.
Getting back from this we watched a movie until about 02.00AM and went to bed.
All of a sudden the youngest one barks a little but I thought he was seeing things... I did take him downstairs and outside but nothing was to be seen.
Next morning we tried to start the GS which failed at first but we did get it going after pushstarting it down the street (twice
) But finally my boyfriend drove it round the block and I ran back to put my gear on and jump on the VFR.
When I went to take the lock off I found I had no keyhole left... The cylinder was lying on the ground with drill markings all over!!I started swearing but then realised I should be happy
. At home I normally never put the lock on because it's inside an enclosed courtyard, but something made me do it there. The dog definitely did not see ghosts
and luckily I didn't just dismiss the barks and put the lights on going down the steps and outside the house.
But now I couldn't go anywhere.... The lock was still on. Luckily the nice neighbour had an angle grinder. Took quite some effort to get throught that luck. I already have a new one...
It just pisses me off that these f@cks can't keep their hands of of somebody else's PROPERTY!
Sorry just needed to vent!
