HM341's baffles
« on: April 08, 2008, 02:11:19 PM »
Just noticed that the PO has broken the bolts  (all 4!) that hold the baffles in.

1.  Should these just slide out if I can drill the remaining bolt out a bit ?
2.  There are supposed to be a tiny drail hole close to where the header pipe and muffler are welded correct ?

I'm assuming the baffles can be re-used / painted etc....
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

1) Yes, they should come out with the remaining stub of broken bolt gone. There is a little slip-fit holder inside the muffler that might try to grab the backside of the diffuser (soot, crud buildup), but it should come out.

2) Yes, there should be a tiny drain hole for each pipe.

If you can get the broken bolts out, you can re-paint the diffusers if you want.
