Carb Spring from 750 K5 Lost... where to find one?
« on: April 08, 2008, 09:10:42 PM »
I just lost that spring that goes IN the Valve body with the jet needle assembly.  I believe its called the Throttle Spring, it goes over the 'Throttle Rod'  If I can't find it tomorrow in the daylight...does anybody know of a kit that contains that spring, or should I go hunting at a hardware store?..most rebuild kits I've found don't have that one.

Thanks.

Fortunately I found one in my dads slew of guitar parts.  Lucky for that, I have another question though, does the Throttle Spring do anything besides keep the Throttle Rod relatively in place?  It seems to have no other purpose in relation to actual carburetor function, you could have a large rubber gasket or something in its place and it would still do what it needs too, right?
