I just made the change from 630 to 530 EK x-ring chain on my K8. I have not ridden yet, since the change, but the change-over was simple enough. I have no real reason for changing to a 530, other than assurances that a contemporary x-ring is at least equal, if not superior to, an older 630 chain, in terms of strength. And since the bike had sat for nearly thirty years, and according to much other advice encouraging a sprocket replacement concurrent with chain replacement, I decided to do both. The sprockets were JT and I believe were 18 front and 48 rear. Ordered all from Dennis Kirk for about $140 plus or minus a few bucks. I could get part nos. if you need them...
