...because the first time i change the oil on my new bike ('75 CB550 Super Sport), i crack the #$%@ oil pan by overtightening the drain plug!
so, i just ordered a new oil pan from service honda (hopefully they'll actually have it), and now i have to wait a few days to finish the job. my question to you folks is, should i go ahead and fill it back up with oil, knowing that i'm just going to have to drain it again to replace the oil pan, or is it ok to leave it empty until then? i'm just wondering if things would dry out too much in there with no oil and no starting for however long it takes to get the parts i need in.
thanks in advance...i look forward to asking many stupid questions as i enter the world of sohc4 ownership.
