they are "Speed Holes", used to lighten up the bike as much as possible.  Oh yeah, they look freakin' awesome to boot! ;D

My camera total sux balls for indoor pics... need to get this thing out in the sun for some good pics.

PS. I need an exhaust spigot (for an early CB500) - somehow I lost one during this complete restoration - go figure (got my pipes today) - not bad though, its the only thing I've lost during the 1 year project. I'd certainly appreciate the help for a SOHC brother - PM me if you've got one.

Again, great work.  I'm sure somebody has an exhaust spigot they can part with.

I always love seeing these bikes indoors on carpet....makes me chuckle.
