Topic: Sam at Hougton Tower - results?!

So the rumour mill here in the UK has it that Sam and Chris had a cracking day at the Houghton Tower sprint this weekend despite the snow (yes we do still race in the snow!).

I heard talk of a sub 9 second run for the CR750 which at Houghton is a very very damn good time.

What's the story Sam ?

Not sure where you heard that Simon, but it was close.
Chris ran 9.16 which was very good given the track surface was freezing.

That's pretty darn good at Houghton! The track is steeper than it looks on pictures and man the camber is wicked. To do a close to 9 seconds in freezing weather is awesome. Big up to you guys - well done!

What was the distance of that 9.16 run? And... speed?

Hi Art, it was over the eighth mile but up a quite steep hill.
They never give terminal speeds at this meeting, not sure why, He would have been around 90mph or just over.
He ran the same gearing as he dose for the quarter so his speed should be the same at the eighth, his time on the flat is almost two seconds faster with low 8s.
