I was using something just as bad, and it was, in fact, the cause.
I mean, other than WoT in 3rd at 105mph, yeah, it caused it.

It turns into 1w10 (ok, maybe exaggerating a little..) after a few miles and hard riding.
With a wet clutch, this can be... bad.
