Read the listing and end of the description, carefully.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230243800368&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:CA:1123

It's people like this what cause unrest.

Well, it is listed under ART->Photographs->Modern.

Seems pretty stupid if you ask me.

hmm just the phote? and just trees tarmac and bike? no 'nekkid wimmen'?? what a rip off....

I should start taking photos and placing them on Ebay.  Could improve my revenue from the for sale/wanted sections, (yeah I have one, but I can't show a pic unless you have the the winning bid!)

I contacted the seller and congratulated him on his admirable joke. I asked if the bike was in fact for sale and he sent me his personal email address. Maybe he does actually want to sell it......but not for $3500.

It's listed in the Art->Photographs section, and the title is Yamaha xt500/XT500/XT-500 Thumper photos FOR SALE.  Don't need much more clarification than that.

If someone wants to bid on that thinking they'll actually be getting a motorcycle, then I have no sympathy for them.

I have no problem with his auction; I just wonder what his intent is.

I missed the oriainal one too Dusterdude (we were likely both too busy over at the cbrforums site!) . Looks like it was done in such a way that what he was selling was photos of the bike and wasn't overly clear that it was JUST pictures. The second one seems pretty legit though...

Nah no stalking going on here...although I think that green shirt you are wearing today brings out your eyes and that girl you are seeing is all wrong for you and that noise in the bushes outside your bedroom window at night is definitely not me!!

lol...I post over there as denlimack (an old email addy I have from when it was just me, my wife and our first daughter (Dennis, Melissa and Mackenzie) my second daughter is 6 now and still doesn't realize that she isn't in there...she must get her brains from my side of the family  ::)  )

I'm not on there as much lately because that bike is so turn key...still go in there from time to time but the calibre of posts is NOTHING like here. I have been spending more time lurking at CX500 sites as that is the latest project.

Are we still on the joke theme or are you seriously interested in a CX500? ::)

OUCH!!! You guys are harsh!

Yeah it was a freebie! My bro in law is lazy and a bit of a sucker really. He blew the final drive (chuck or whatever the latest term for it is!) and took it into the shop. They quoted him nearly a grand in parts and labour to fix it. He dragged it home and left it in his back yard for a year and a half and his wife got sick of looking at it and convinced him to give it to me.

I picked up the final drive for 30 bucks from a great guy on the choppercharles forums and a handful of other bits from a local shop (the most expensive of which was the $80 battery). Gave it a quick tune up and it fired up great. I offered it back to him for like 3 bills (figuring I have about $225 or so in parts and 10 hours or so in labour) and he said no thanks..."you keep it". I am guessing all it will need to cert is new fork seals but I haven't decided what I am going to do with it now...to insure it is going to cost me about $800 in addition to the $1200 I already pay for the CBR. Anyone in the market for a CX500???

It's back up again.

I really like the photo of the Yamaha Motorcycle Terms and Conditions of Warranty and service Log with the keys. Do the Keys come with the photo?

You suppose he’s really trying to dupe someone into thinking they’re biding on an actual motorcycle?

If he is, he’s a real Jack A$$.

Perhaps if you email him, you could "pursuade" him to sell you the actual motorcycle.  Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

It's back up again.

That's almost what it sounds like he's trying to do
Get some offers on the bike without paying Ebay fees.

May end up being a scam, no record of posting it for sale after all.

I emailed him the first time around, admiring his wit. I asked if he actually wanted to sell the bike and he gave me his email address to 'talk' privately. I didn't respond.
