Well today was the day.  I took her out for her first ride of a new life and she rode pretty good except for the flat spot on the front tire.  She still doesnt like to run at idle with no choke so it looks as though I am going to have to up the jets a bit. 


Anyways I would like to say thank you to everyone who has helped me through this.  I know a few of you were at wits end and I want you to know I appreciate it.

PS I got some video of her running just need to figure out how to get my computer to recognize it.  Damn HD cameras!

Well done, you deserve to be proud.  I'm suitably jealous, my bike is still in a zillion pieces :D

idling problems could also be blocked slow jets?

Ya I had a huge smile on my face the whole time I was riding.  It feels #$%*ing great to have gotten this thing running.  There were a few times that I didnt know if I would ever get it running but with the help from everyone here, she runs!  And let me tell you it feels freaking great since this is my first engine rebuild of any sorts and my first bike that I have actually owned. 

Now I just need to get some new tires, front brake line, and finish the exhaust and she will be ready to ride all summer long! ;D

Well here is how it sits as of now.  It is about ridable but I do not think I want to go far with the old tires.  Like I said the exhaust, tires, and a front brake line is all I need to get it to where I want it, at least until my next project is done.
