Waiting for delivery of my 73 CB750K
« on: April 18, 2008, 11:45:55 AM »
Hi Folks. I owned a 1969 CB750 in 1970. I drove it from Ft Lauderdale to NY in 28Hrs just stopping for nature calls and coffee. Back then there was no I-95 for most of the way. I drove up on RT 301. That bike was my favorite. I bought it used. I traded in a 1970 CL450. The KO only had 4,000 miles on it. Someone had already removed the baffles on it. I traded it in on a car, but ended up buying a brand new 1971 CB750 soon after.
I just purchased an orange 1973 CB750K3 off ebay. It will prob not be here for a week or 2. I know it won't sound or feel quite like my older ones but I can't wait to get it.
I also ride a 2007 HD FXD with a 110 cu in screaming eagle kit. 1800cc and I have a 2006 Triumph T100 Bonneville that I restore from a salvage purchase. I was supprised at the similarities of the bike as far as weight and power.
I know there will be a wealth of information in these forums and I promise I will use the search feature before asking dumb questions.

I'm out of popcorn, we can't have another oil thread.

Welcome.  You will be pleasantly surprised as to how close the K3 is to the earlier models.
Go metric, every inch of the way!
