compatability questions
« on: February 10, 2008, 02:01:10 AM »
OK
more stupid questions, i`ve got my eye on a set of F2 exhausts, are they compatable with an F1?
and just a thought but could this be a worthwhile topic? compatability between different models, what fits what models, maybe some of our guru`s could do a little think tanking on it, i`ve checked the FAQ and i`ve seen a list of what changes were made when but it doesnt really explain part interchangeability...
i`ve been googling part numbers when i can see them or they are told but sometimes theres no part numbers available, just a thought
cheers

I have the same problem. the 650's weren't as popular as the 750's so it's harder to find parts. In fact, I ordered a choke cable for mine that is supposed to fit a 550, 750 and 900. Looks the same, and the length is the same, so I'm hoping.

If you are talking about the cb750 F1 and F2 pipes, yes you can interchange them.

Troppo, the F1 and F2 exhaust systems are interchangeable. However, the F1 muffler will not fit the F2 headers without an adaptor and the F2 muffler will not fit the F1 headers. Pat

i`m assuming thats due to a difference in diameter, one larger than the other..
which is larger, the F1 or F2?

Will 750 headers fit on a 650?  I have a chance to get a 4 in 1 header for a 750 but I'm not sure if it will fit my 80 650.

Some question regarding a rear sprocket.
