Of course, it WAS a long time ago. :D But, then it was a Indian (rebadged Royal Enfield 700cc vertical twin) Trailblazer. This one is nice, but is missing the Indian Head Ornament that goes on the front fender.

Bryan, this one came out in 1955. I'd never heard of a Triumph called that, but that doesn't mean anything. :) The Triumphs I'd heard of (and I'm not sure of the years) were the Terrier and the Cub (the cub was a 200cc) and the 250 had to of come after that. How about some specifics, I'm always willing to learn more and tell what I know along with what I think I know too. ;)  I appreciate any and all input.

                               Take care,  Bill  ;)

Hey Bryan, I did some checking and, from what I can find out, the Triumph TrailBlazer was introduced in 71'. Can't tell much about the look in this brochure though.

You are perfectly correct Bill, the RE wasn't called a trailblazer in UK and it was a wind up to see if you had heard of the Trumf!--specially considering your post on Beezers as there was a BSA model exactly the same just "Badge Engineered"

You were right Bryan, I had not even heard of the Triumph model. I knew the Indian/Enfield models, but not sure of all the Straight Royal Enfield ones either. The ones of the Enfields that I know right off are the Fury, Constellation, Crusader, & Bullet. I used to know others, but must be a "Senior Citizen Moment". Thanks for the educational moment there Bryan. ;) At times, I forget about the different models and such that were available here, but not there and vice versa.

                                  Take care, Bill ;)

Duh me! ::) I definitely knew about the Interceptor and had ridden one of those a few times. 8)

My Granddad had a 55' Indian Woodsman and that was, of course, an Enfield 500 single rebadged as an Indian. I'd like one of those or maybe a 500 Bullet redone to look like the old Woodsman, but with the shift relocated back on the right though. Dad had a 55' 250 that was badged as an Indian Fire Arrow.

The Rickman would be cool too!

If the woodsman was a "trail" version of the 500 you can buy one of the Indian enfields like that here in UK new

I've seen the NEW version of the Woodsman and was glad to see the model name revived. Here's what the original looked like.

And here's a 55' Brochure showing it and other rebadged R.E.s.

 http://www.re-indian.com/55catalogue.html

If you've seen the Bullet with the "trials kit" (as they call it), then you've seen almost what my Dad built his 55' Fire Arrow to look like IN 1955. It's sad, IF my Granddad and my Dad had known anything about PATENDS and such, they could have been so much better off and probably keep things going well enough to make their Motorcycle Shop prosper enough that it would still be going. :( Ah well, If only.......... Doesn't do any good to keep looking back, does it? ::)
