carb help
« on: April 28, 2008, 06:03:29 AM »
I took the screws out and try to drain the carbs....there was dirt in them...I know I need to clean them but I know for sure something is up....three of the four overflows are leaking real bad when the gas is on even when I put the screws back in....why would the overflows be leaking so bad...is it rubber going bad or dirt....

Usually tiny bits of dirt in the float valves.

Either tap gently to try to wash then through, or take them out and clean them.

I take it they didn't leak before ?
