For the chopper/ bobber fan

I couldn't find any mention good or bad about these guys. They make a weld on hard tail kit for the CB750 and a universal kit too.

I talked to them a couple weeks ago about some rearsets...theyre supposed to be working on a set to mount directly on the cb750's with no frame mods. He said he should have them out in "a couple weeks."
Im hoping theyre priced similar to the yamaha xs650 sets they sell for $224.99

TCBros are good guys.  Good welders, etc.  I'll say this about their hardtail, though, they leave the crosspieces tacked in so you move them into place after the hardtail is welded to the bike.  Makes it better to get 'em where you want 'em, but if you can't weld then you can't use their hardtail.  Their forwards for the XS are pretty good, and I think their mount kit is gonna come off the upper motor-mount plates.

Well, it IS a "Weld On Hardtail" after all :D

I guess what I meant was if you can't weld a notched tube to another notched tube, don't use it.  The weld-on part of the hardtail is easy cause it inserts tabs into the old frame tubes.  Doesn't need a great weld, could prolly even braze it.  To weld the crosspieces they are just butted together, takes a better weld.  Just throwin' it out there.

Actually I sold my NOS "bolt on/weld on" hardtail along with a cut CB750K frame to TC Bros about two months ago. Shortly thereafter they brought out the identical part.  I hope it has axle plates as thick as the original; they were massive! I think my original was an unused Amen, but I never found anything definative on that question.

The part I delivered was a very heavy, high-quality piece. I hope theirs is as good; if so I'd be happy to use it!  And if I ever get around to building a non-raked bobber, I just might!  RR
